About Jincook

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Los Angeles, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11:30 amβ10:30 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (213) 577-1128. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. Its website is jincooks.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.
Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 189 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded korean restaurants in Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Los Angeles follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Another great meal at Jincook. The Bossam was tender, the Spicy Pork Hot Stone was sizzling and full of flavor, and the banchan was fresh. The only thing that stood out was the braised short ribs. They were still tasty, but a little chewier than what Iβve had at the Buena Park location, where they were much more tender. Great service, generous portions, and authentic Korean comfort food. Iβll definitely be back.

Stopped by after visiting the Art Share to get something to eat, loved this place because the food was great and the atmosphere and staff were amazing. We got a bunch of shareable for the table and the portions were pretty good, we got full surprisingly fast and the drinks were so good too! Loved the music and servers were very nice.

My mom and I have been to a lot of Korean restaurants in LA, and Jincook is far by one of the best we've had. The quality of their food is top-notch and service was great. Now I understand the hype! We tried... -Galbi Jjim Braised Beef Short Ribs were incredibly soft, tender and fall of the bone, sauce was very flavorful, slightly sweet from kobucha and spicy! Portion is huge that feeds 4 people. Add cheese to elevate the flavor even more. -Marinated Dumplings - Slightly crispy on the outside and the meat filling was flavorful. So good! -Souvide Porkbelly -OMG melt in your mouth porkbelly slices!! So amazing! -Chicken Katsu Curry - Perfectly fried breaded chicken on a bed of white rice and curry sauce. Service was welcoming and inviting and our server was patient with all the questions I had. Highly recommend this place. TIP: -Cheap parking at the end of the street

I had a wonderful experience at this Korean restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the soup , it tasted so rich, comforting, and full of flavor. You could really tell it was made with care and authentic ingredients. Every bite felt warm and satisfying, and the portions were generous. The side dishes were fresh and nicely prepared as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, creating a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. They checked in on us kindly and made sure everything was perfect. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I would definitely visit again.

I heard a lot of things about Jincook and I was happy to see there was a location in Little Tokyo thatβs super easy to get to via Metro! They serve truly comforting Korean comfort food that hits really hard when itβs cold outside. We got the sweet potato katsu curry at the recommendation of my friend. The curry was a wee bit salty but the sweet and savory combination of sweet potato and katsu was was a lovely balance. Rice had a good chew to it. Hanbat has better seolleongtang, but the broth here was still pure. Kimchi was on the sweeter end. The interior is very cute!
